Manitoba Film & Music supports the film and music industries through our objectives, which are to create, stimulate, employ and invest in Manitoba by developing and promoting Manitoba companies, producing and marketing film, television, video and music recording projects and promoting Manitoba as a film location for off-shore production companies.
As a provincial leader and champion for the film and music industries, MFM work with industry partners, government and the private sector to undertake initiatives that support a sustainable industry. MFM serves as an ambassador of the industry and of Manitoba by promoting Manitoba companies outside of the province and by attracting production and investment to Manitoba.
For more information on applying to MFM’s funding programs, please see our Film Programs web page.
MFM is a member of the Association of Film Commissions International (AFCI). For more information on filming in Manitoba, please visit the Manitoba Film & Music website.
MFM also administers the Manitoba Film and Video Production Tax Credit. Productions receive up to 65% with the Cost-of-Salaries Tax Credit (including bonuses) OR 30% on all eligible Manitoba expenditures with the Cost-of-Production Tax Credit.
